The Stadium
The stadium set right under a picturesque dessert butte has been a mainstay of the Cactus League since the early 1990’s. The 2005-6 renovation has improved fan amenities with the addition of further seating, a new scoreboard, a new sound system and extended practice fields. For the fantasy baseball player the inclusion of the Angels’ minor league practice facilities on site is a huge bonus.
With a seating capacity of 9785 and dimensions down the left field line of 340', 420' in center and 360' down the right field line, Tempe Diablo Stadium is one of the most spacious facilities in Arizona. This state of the art facility is conveniently located within 30 minutes of downtown Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. 5 other MLB teams have their spring training homes within an half-hour of Tempe Diablo Stadium and the entire cactus league is within a 2 hour drive, making this an ideal place to enjoy spring training
