The Stadium

This gorgeous state-of-the-art facility opened just last year, and is conveniently located just across the causeway from downtown Tampa, historic Ybor City and Tampa International Airport, within a few short miles of the beautiful beaches of Clearwater/Dunedin. Seven other MLB teams have their spring training homes within an hour of Bright House Networks Field, making this an ideal place to enjoy spring training.

• First game: March 4, 2004
• Architectural Style: Bright House Networks Field is designed in a classical Floridian architectural style; from the tile roof on the Southern entrance towers to the red stucco-colored trim around the seats, a feeling of old-Florida pervades this very modern stadium.
• Season: Spring Training is held during the months of February and March. The Florida State League's Clearwater Threshers (Single A Affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies) make their home at Bright House Networks Field from April through Labor Day. Special events and family festivals are also held at the stadium.
• Capacity: The stadium accommodates 8,000 fans and features luxury sky box seats, field and loge box seats, bleachers, picnic area, tiki hut and berm seating. The ballpark seats approximately 7,000 and another 1000 fans can spread out on a blanket and catch a closer view of the game from the berm seating.
• Party Deck: Groups of 20 to 300 can take part in a pre-game feast on the party deck, located down the left field line.
• Special Amenities: A 360-degree main concourse open to the playing field allows fans to walk the stadium, gaining different perspectives on the game without missing a single pitch. The Tiki hut pavilion in left field is the perfect place to grab a margarita or other adult beverage while watching the game from the shade in a relaxed atmosphere.
